Natural spf oils

INFO — DIRECTIONS FOR USE — INGREDIENTS & BENEFITS — SCENT PROFILES

INFO:

As a natural redhead, these SPF oils were born from my own personal desire to get a golden tan, but still have solid protection from harmful UVA & UVB rays. Regular SPF and tanning oils are chock full of chemicals that are harmful to our earth’s aquatic ecosystems, and let’s be honest, the smell of sunscreen is somewhat nostalgic, but it’s really not the best scent for everyday use. Not only do these SPF oils provide you with completely natural protection from the sun, they deeply hydrate your skin, treat pain & inflammatory skin conditions, are naturally water-resistant and make you smell as hot as a bombshell.

Ranges between 20-50 SPF, due to the variation in harvest of the raspberry seed oil. Much like any other SPF, it’s best to re-apply when needed and get in the shade when possible!

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  1. For best results, apply SPF oil to entire body before sun exposure. Avoid your eyes and mouth.

  2. Re-apply whenever you notice your skin drying out, more so after getting in the water a lot, but these oils are naturally waterproof & will outlast a couple dips in the water.

THE active ingredients:

RASPBERRY SEED OIL

Pressed raspberry seed oil has a natural SPF of 28-50 and acts as a broad spectrum UV protectant. The vast range in the level of protection depends on the harvest.

  •  Protects skin from damage that occurs due to a process called oxidative stress caused by an excess of free radicals in our bodies.

  • Has a natural shelf life of up to 2 years.

  • Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids found in this oil are known to greatly reduce acne, dermatitis, and other skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

  • Has a high level of phytosterols, which create a lipid barrier that reduces transepidermal water loss (moisture escaping from our skin).

  • It is non-comedogenic, so it won’t clog your pores.

  • Rich in Vitamin C, raspberry seed oil helps to fade dark spots and even out your skin tone.

  • Boasts an intoxicating scent, naturally.

TAMANU OIL

Tamanu oil has a natural SPF of 18-22 and is a natural pain reliever, helping with swelling, sunburns, rashes, and bug bites. So this component will not only help protect, but will help speed up the healing process if you do happen to get burned!

  • It has antifungal properties, helping prevent body odor, which is great for long days spent sweating in the sun.

  • Works to reduce and soothe acne, dermatitis, rheumatism, eczema, psoriasis, scarring, severe burns, ulcers, gout, fungal infections, itchiness from rashes and bites, sciatica, neuralgia (pain caused by damaged nerves), rosacea and foot odor.

  • Facilitates the growth of new skin, smoothing and softening, and working to reduce age spots, stretch marks and cellulite.

  • Its linoleic acid (omega-6) content helps facilitate wound healing, have anti-inflammatory effects, promote moisture retention in skin and sustain skin elasticity.

  • Its oleic acid (omega-9) content prevents joint inflammation, stiffness and pain.

COCONUT OIL

Coconut oil smells heavenly and is anti-aging with its bounty of antioxidants. It, like the other oils, is readily absorbed into your skin while at the same time creates a protective barrier on the surface, locking in moisture & keeping out the harmful environmental stressors.

  • Has a natural SPF of 7, helping keep you protected even if you happen to forget your sunscreen!

  • Composed of a unique combo of natural fats: Linoleic acid, which fortifies the skin’s barrier, protecting it from free radicals like UV rays and air pollutants, and unclogs pores by pulling out dirt and dead skin cells. The other is lauric acid, up to 50%, which is hydrating and microbial. This combo reduces the growth of bacteria under the skin’s surface.

  • Its antimicrobial properties help kill bacteria on the skin that causes body odor.

  • In an 8-week study, the use of coconut oil on dry skin notably reduced transepidermal water loss (moisture escaping from the layers of your skin) and outperformed mineral oil, which is a favored ingredient for skin hydration by board-certified dermatologists.

  • Strengthens the skin barrier, which is particularly beneficial for people who struggle with eczema or very dry skin.

  • Reduces inflammation and soothes skin, making it a wonderful healer for burn wounds or other wounds that will likely produce scars.
